Today I indulged in the worldwide fairytale Royal Wedding.
I donned a pretty dress; red lipstick and a ribbon in my hair. Ha.
However, when they announced the engagement last year I wasn't really into it. I was bitter about the state of the economy; a pretentious wedding; the fact they have been dating for about 10 years anyway & it goes on.....
But then as the wedding drew near I felt I should light my heart go with it and enjoy the fairytale; afterall I don't have to do much apart from turn on the TV, especially after being all the way in Trinidad.
The wedding was beautiful; nothing bad to say..(apart from the 2 moans I couldn't keep in below) ha.
I credit Kate's Natural Elegance and I love the tradition embedded in the ceremony - I was most excited about seeing her dress and seeing them take the vows...
I hope this has re-inspired a generation that was losing faith in marriage...
Congrats to the newly weds...
I thought I would make it fun for myself by cooking a whole roast chicken and roast potatoes (in tribute to my britishness); macaroni pie; salad; muffins for dessert and a glass of wine....
Gosh! I hyped myself up about making this magical dinner but I do not take to the
kitchen very well... and I tired myself out! The hubby was "concerned" from the beginning..
No more big dinners for a few months (this was big for me).
Before, this was me trying to cut an onion before getting spruced up, the kitchen is a stressful place good thing it came out blury!
After, attempting to look 'Stepford' while making muffins
2 moans
- I would prefer if they didnt call her "kate the commoner".
- They needed a pentecostal choir or some liveliness during all that church singing, even the Queen looked bored
